Golden Apple Award
Employees who receive the Golden Apple Award exceed job expectations and further Aultman’s mission to lead our community to improved health.
The 2007 Golden Apple award winners included James Miller, Angela Murphy, Marie Haubert, Billie Rotunno, Staci Conner, Pam Strange, Randi Brocious, Dale Jones, Sonja Filimonuk, Lee Kenny and Amanda Maurer.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star award is presented to Aultman employees with less than five years of services who are enthusiastic, dedicated and have potential for advancement.
The 2007 Rising Star honorees included Abram Klaserner, Andrea Beard, Ryan Merrick, Natalie Kummerer, Amy Jones, James Chismark, Jessica Duke, Paula Bishop, James Clark and Tieryn Trissel.
Nursing Points of Caring Award
Points of Caring Awards are given to individual nurses, nursing groups, a nursing manager and a student from the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
The 2007 honorees exemplified the characteristics of caring and compassion toward patients, commitment to the nursing profession, clinical excellence and community involvement.

Our Military Heroes
In 2007, the following Aultman employees were on leave to fulfill their military commitments. We salute these employees for their courage and patriotism.
Todd Geary
Todd is a sergeant in the Army National Guard and a physical therapy assistant at Aultman Tusc Therapy. In 2007, Todd completed four-month medic training at Fort Sam Houston in Texas.
Kathleen Hamilton
Kathleen is an Aultman Woodlawn driver and a private first class in the Army reserves. She is based at Fort Sam Houston in Texas and will be in training through February 2009 to become a combat nurse and RN.
Carl Linder
Carl is a patient transporter at Aultman and a specialist in the Army National Guard. After completing training in December 2007, Carl began a yearlong deployment in Kuwait.
Andrew Marburger
Andrew is a lead officer in Aultman Security Services. A senior airman in the Air Force, Andrew served in Iraq from May-July 2007.
John Milburn
John is a staff RN and sergeant first class in the military. He went on active military duty in December 2007 – and began a 400-day deployment in Iraq the following month. This is John’s second tour of duty in Iraq.
Michelle Scott
Michelle is an officer with Aultman Security Services. She is an Army sergeant, currently serving in Afghanistan. Her anticipated return date is October 2008.
Brian Swearingen
Brian is a lead officer in Aultman Security Services. An Army sergeant, he served in Texas and Indiana in 2007. He will be deployed to Iraq in 2008.
Kimberly Thatcher-Lewis
Kimberly is an RN in the Aultman Medical Intensive Care Unit and is a private first class in the Army National Guard. After being stationed at Camp Shelby in Mississippi in late 2007, she was deployed to Afghanistan for 400 days.
Derek Seavers
Derek is an operating room process technician and a sergeant in the Army National Guard. He returned from Iraq in July 2007, after serving an 18-month tour of duty there.
